We specialise in mining but our powerline inspections services are equally as valuable and relevant within other sectors – including government, utilities, rail, oil and gas, and light industrial, as well as for domestic powerline/powerpole owners.

Mark Spinks - Managing Director
Mark has over 20 years experience in the Australian mining and power distribution sectors and founded Gridvision in 2018.  He is passionate about safety in the industry and is a committee member of Engineers Australia’s Queensland Electrical Branch, as well as the Mine Electrical Safety Association (MESA).

John Cruickshank - Project Manager
John has over 43 years experience in the Australian mining industry in both grassroots electrical and field maintenance, as well as management roles including Electrical Engineering Manager (EEM) and Field Maintenance Superintendent. His high focus on safety, procedural compliance and effective team management allow him to consistently deliver great project outcomes.

Ben Brignell - Quality Manager

Ben has over 35 years experience in developing and maintaining Quality Management Systems (QMS) across a number of different industries, including, Defence, Aviation, Construction, Mining and Oil & Gas. His personal work ethic is Safety first – Quality always.  Starting on the tools and working his way up to Senior Project Manager has enabled him to apply a holistic risk-based business approach whilst focusing on his passion for Continuous Improvement and reducing business/project costs.

Rob Jones - Overhead Power Specialist

Rob has over 40 years’ experience in overhead powerline work and condition assessments both in Australia and New Zealand and he will be sharing his expertise to help diagnose issues and improve network reliability for our clients.

Aidan has heavy industry experience and a proven ability to work in remote locations under varying conditions within the Project Management realm of mining.

Jaimee Fisher - Electrical Engineer
Jaimee has over 10 years experience in various electrical engineering sectors, including previous site-based roles at both underground and surface coal mines, as well as in the building services, power distribution and electronics industries.

Bruce Iliff - Grid Connection Specialist
Bruce brings over 40 years experience in Australia’s electricity supply industry to the Gridvision team. Prior to commencing as a consultant, he worked for Queensland’s transmission and distribution network service providers (Powerlink and Ergon). He has a detailed working knowledge of the legal, technical, regulatory and commercial aspects of the distribution and transmission network processes.

Teagen has significant experience in the Mining and Engineering industry in various Business Support roles. She is passionate about supporting small business growth and will be helping us take the next steps on our journey.

With strong maths/physics skills, Cass is a very welcome addition to our powerline team. With a focus initially on 3D visualisation environment improvements, Cass will also be performing analytics on powerlines.

With over 10 years of experience as a licensed Electrician, Joseph brings a wealth of experience in the construction and maintenance of industrial electrical systems. Specializing in large-scale projects, Joseph is a welcomed asset to our team.

Brett McLeod - Project Manager
Brett is a qualified distribution linesman with significant experience in the successful delivery of overhead and underground power installations, having delivered projects at various coal mines and on entity networks throughout Queensland. With prior experience as a HSEQ coordinator and project manager he has a strong focus on safety and quality of deliverables.

Michael Alletsee - Trainee Engineer

Michael is a current university student studying the Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) / Master of Engineering at the University of Queensland. He is passionate about contributing towards making a difference through innovative thinking and learning about the electrical and mining fields of engineering.

Ian comes to us with a multifaceted background that includes extensive experience in Geospatial production analysis, project coordination, and business development. Beaut is currently studying Bachelor of Engineering (Honours) majoring in Mechanical and Aerospace at the University of Queensland. Before engineering, she graduated with a dual degree in Commerce and Science majoring in Finance and Mathematics. She is passionate about problem-solving and learning new skills from the electrical and mining engineering sectors.
