Sharing Information to Improve Safety
Gridvision supports the Look Up and Live (LUAL) message.
We have collaborated with Energy Queensland to assist our customers at mine sites in making information on their overhead networks available on the Look Up and Live online map (now also available as a mobile app for iOS or Android).
Information about the customer’s overhead powerline network can be ingested into the LUAL platform for public display.
Sharing powerline data demonstrates a commitment to safety, and provides a channel for discussions with owners of the network, particularly if work is proposed to occur near powerlines. In these cases a works enquiry can be submitted to notify asset owners of proposed work.
Display of customer data in the LUAL platform can be easily implemented following an Aerial Powerline Survey.

Gridvision can facilitate upload of customer powerline data into Energy Queensland’s Look Up And Live platform.
Sufficient digitised information to correctly locate the position of poles and spans in the customer’s powerline network is required, which are typical outputs of an Aerial Powerline Survey.
